With over 20 years experience in the Care Sector, the Management of St George's Care Home pride themselves on offering a highly professional, individualized and holistic care service for the elderly, with a personal touch. St George's admits 60 male and female Service Users who are over the age of 60 which includes 18 beds for those Service Users who require mental health support. We are pleased to accept Service Users for long term, short term, convalescence and holiday stays. We will consider admitting Service Users below the age of 60 following comprehensive pre-assessment and certainty that we are able to cater for their individual needs.

When people have worked hard throughout their lives' and have been committed to helping others, we think they deserve extra cherishing. They need a home where individuality is emphasized, with staff that has time to give attention to small detail, and where they have the choice of enjoying the company of other fellow Service Users.
A pre-admission assessment will be carried out to assess the suitability of the match between your needs and the Services and facilities of the Home. In the event that the only barrier to admission is lack of a certain piece of equipment this will be obtained prior to your admission. The suitability of your admission will be discussed with you, and if appropriate and with your permission, your representative.
Emergency admissions will be accepted only in exceptional circumstances, where the health or safety of the Service User is under threat, and normally only through a professional referrer such as Social Services. In this event, the suitability of the proposed Service User will be discussed with the professional referrer to ensure that the needs match the Services offered, and the normal pre-admission assessment will be carried out within 48 hours of admission.
