St. Georges Nursing Home is a friendly, family-run nursing home; specialising in Nursing, Dementia Care, Elderly Care and End of Life Care.

Our aim is to provide the residents with a comfortable home and deliver the highest level of care in a dignified and compassionate way. Managed by a team of highly-qualified staff, we consistently try our utmost best to improve our resident's quality of life. We firmly believe that a nursing home is only as good as the staff and great care has been taken in recruiting highly trained, professional, caring and compassionate staff with minimal to no use of agency staff.

The Directors, Mr Haria and Sheena Gudhka, are a father and daughter team who jointly run two homes in their portfolio: St Georges Wallasey and St. Georges Wigan.

Our ethos is to care for the residents as if they were our own family and therefore our approach is no ‘one routine fits all’, but rather a more person-centred approach, tailored to an individuals’ needs and concerns.

General Nursing and EMI Nursing

Your nursing needs will be met by highly skilled manager and qualified nursing care team who will be available to them 24 hours a day. All individuals with any nursing needs are welcome in St Georges. Our approach to nursing care is based on the use of individualised person centred care plans.

We are registered to provide EMI Care for nursing and residential residents. We have the capacity for 18 beds.

Respite Care & Short Breaks

Everyone deserves time out. Whether you care for a relative or are in need of care yourself, taking a break from your usual routine can do the world of good. It can recharge the batteries for all involved whether staying at St Georges or getting a rest whilst your loved one resides at St Georges.

We are trained in palliative care and use of required equipment. We work closely with Wirral Palliative team and Macmillan Team as required.

We have a full-time and part time Activity Coordinator who coordinates both group activities and 1-on-1 sessions for residents who prefer a more personal touch.

 St George's is marvellous for my mum. The staff are amazing, all of them. When she first went in, the place was a bit shabby but a lot of effort has gone into decorate and it is much better now. All staff are friendly, helpful, understanding and caring. We are very lucky to have our mum in there and we appreciate all that they do for her.

 I visit my friend who is bedridden. The staff are always very nice with him and treat him with dignity. His bed is always clean. If he asks for help, the staff see to him very quickly. I am always made to feel welcome. I feel the staff have quite a hard job and work very hard with the "residents" and are quite loving and caring. Thank you.

 My brother has been in St George's for nine years. His care has always been excellent. I see him three times a week and he is always happy. All of the staff (carers, nurses, admin etc) are first class.
